The second text box at the top of the form uses Javascript to allow you to type Amharic automatically. The following table shows the key patterns for this keyboard. Your browser must have Javascript enabled for this to work. The left column shows how to type the consonants. Make sure you use capital letters for the ejectives (shift + t = ጠ). For the vowels, make sure you type shift + e=E for the 5th order and shift + w=W for the 8th order. You may also enable your own typing software (e.g., Power Geez, Visual Geez Unicode, Tavultesoft, or Vista's keyboard) and use that to search.
